Northern Mockingbird

I never expected the Northern Mockingbird, Britain's third ever, which has been wintering in Exmouth, to relocate to Sussex. But that's exactly what it did overnight, being found half an hour up the road on the edge of Pulborough this morning. I made my way there after lunch to enjoy superb views of this curious North American bird feeding on some brash piles. A beautiful day, wonderful bird and, for the first time in just so long, a lot of happy birders safely enjoying each other's company in the sunshine.
